Since Agent version 1.4.0 ASP.NET Core Hosting Bundle 8 is required. It is part of the package and will be installed automatically.

If the agent is to be updated

  • We recommend to stop the agent-service before updating.
  • Before updating the agent, we recommend creating a backup of the appsettings.json configuration file (in the agent's program directory).
  • The new configuration file must be adjusted based on the values of the old one. The old settings file cannot be copied directly, because the structure may change.
  • The newest version of the agent can usually be installed directly.
    The activation of the agent remains.
  • However, if installing on a new server, the old agent must be deactivated via the agent UI once the new agent has been successfully installed.
