In this article, you will learn how to customise the design of our axesWord master template to suit your needs.
Our axesWord master template is written in the font "Arial" or "Arial Black". The font color of the headings, tables, etc. is predominantly blue. This can be changed with just a few clicks.
Open or create a Word document
Open a Word document or create a new Word document based on our axesWord master template. The easiest way to start a new Word document is to double-click on the Word document template. You can recognise a Word document template by the file extension ".dotx".
Save the new document immediately under a new name.
Select a theme
In Word, click on the Design tab.
In the Document Formatting function group, click the Themes button. A menu will open from which you can select different themes.
Each theme contains a specific combination of colors, fonts and effects that are coordinated with each other.
Move the mouse pointer over a specific theme – you can already see how the fonts and colours in the document change in the background. Decide on a theme by clicking on it. You can undo this step at any time by clicking on the Reset to Theme from Template option.
If you want to use a theme that you have already saved, select the Browse for Themes... option.
You can save the current theme using the Save Current Theme... option.
Change fonts only
In the Document Formatting function group, click the Fonts button. A menu will open from which you can select different fonts (for headings and body text).
Change colors only
In the Document Formatting function group, click the Colors button. A menu will open from which you can select various color combinations.
