"Export PDF" button

Button 'Export PDF'

What it does

This function creates an accessible PDF from your Word document.

Use it for

You can use it to convert your Word document into a PDF/UA document.

How to use it

  1. Open the axesWord tab.
  2. Click on the Export PDF button. The Export PDF dialogue box is displayed.

  3. In the PDF file name text field, specify the file name and also the storage location. Click on the Button on which there are 3 dots button to open the Save As dialogue box.
    By default, the name and storage location of the Word file are used here.
  4. Check the title in the Document title text field and update it if necessary.
  5. Check the language that is selected in the Main document language drop-down menu. Change it if necessary.
  6. Update fields before export checkbox: If this function is enabled, all Word fields, such as tables of contents, lists of figures and tables, are updated before the PDF is created.
  7. Recalculate pagination checkbox: If this function is enabled, the page layout is updated before the PDF is created. This may cause line breaks to shift, for example.
  8. Open PDF document in default viewer checkbox: If this function is enabled, the PDF document will open in your default viewer immediately after creation.
  9. PDF/A checkbox: If this function is enabled, the PDF document will be created in PDF/A format.
  10. Click on the Create button to start the analysis and PDF creation process.

If you have worked properly in Word, axesWord will generate an accessible PDF document that meets all machine-checkable requirements during an automatic PDF/UA check.
