Introduction
axes4 does not process nor store any sensitive personal data of their customers (such as health data). The personal data we use from you is your e-mail address and your name. In some cases, we will also store your business address.
axes4 has offices in Switzerland, Germany, UK and Portugal. The following information applies to all axes4 sister companies.
The software products of axes4 (like axesWord, axesPDF, and others) do not process any personal data. Depending on the licensing technology you use (see below), your e-mail address and optionally your name will be used for license processing.
Order processing and general contact
Microsoft
- If you contact us by e-mail, your e-mail address and other personal information you provide (such as your name) will be stored on the Microsoft 365 servers.
As a Swiss company, all our Microsoft 365 data is hosted in the EU. - When you send us an order, we store the information required for processing, such as the e-mail addresses and the names of the contact persons in Business Central.
According to the configuration page of our Business Central account, the data is located in “Switzerland North”. - We use Nextcloud to store customer contracts and other documents. Nextcloud runs on our own virtual server in the Azure cloud.
The server runs in a data center in the EU.

Pipedrive
- Our sales team uses Pipedrive to track and process sales opportunities. E-mail addresses and other information, such as the names of the contact persons, are stored on the Pipedrive servers.
- Pipedrive processes our data on our express instructions on servers in Germany. You can read more about Pipedrive's commitment to GDPR here.

Brevo
- Some of our emails for order processing are routed via Brevo. Your e-mail address and optionally your name is stored on the Brevo servers.
- Brevo stores all data on servers in the European Union. Read more about Brevo's commitment to GDPR.

Mailstore
- We use Mailstore for the legally compliant archiving of our e-mail traffic. If you contact us by e-mail, your e-mail address and other personal information you provide (such as your name) will be stored on our Mailstore virtual server running in the Hetzner cloud in Germany.

Verifone
- If you order a license in our online shop, your data, including your credit card information, will be processed by Verifone. Verifone shares your e-mail address and other personal information you provide (such as your name) with axes4. Your credit card data are not shared with axes4.

Licensing
The data that we store for licensing purposes depends on the axes4 licensing technology used.
- In the case of online licensing (axes4 ID), the following information applies to all users.
- In the case of licensing with an axes4 Licensing Agent, the following information only applies to the accounts of the license administrators.
- In the case of licensing with Active Directory or Entra ID, the following information does not apply.
Microsoft
- We use various systems in the Microsoft Azure Cloud to process and store your licensing data, in particular Azure SQL databases.
- We choose the “West Europe” location for all productive Azure services, i.e. Amsterdam or Dublin.

Auth0
- Your login information (e-mail address and password) are managed by Auth0 and stored on their servers.
- Auth0 stores axes4's data on servers in the European Union according to the configuration page of our account. Auth0's commitment to the GDPR is described here.

Support
- All support requests are handled through our Zendesk system. The Zendesk servers store your e-mail address and other information that you provide to us (such as your name).
- We have received written information from Zendesk that “the region for storing your service data has been set to the EU”. Zendesk provides information about its handling of the GDPR here.
