Wrap All Node (Shapes > Grouping)

What it does

This node wraps all top-level items (shapes or shape trees) from the input node into a single new container, resulting in one shape tree with a with a new top-level group.

Use it for

  • Building the logical structure of your document.
  • Adding new levels (for example, to create nested tags).
  • Grouping multiple shapes or shape trees in a node into one shape tree.
  • Wrapping a single shape or shape tree into a new container, if the node contains only one item.

How to use it

  1. Drag and drop the node from the Node Library into your template:
    Node Library > Folder Shapes > Folder Grouping
  2. Connect the node with other nodes in the Data Flow of your template.
  3. Specify the settings in the Node Properties task pane.

Node Input

Connect a node from the Data Flow that contains shapes or shape trees to the Items input port.

Node Output

All top-level items from the input node will be wrapped into a single new container, resulting in one wrapped item—a shape tree with a new top-level group—available in the Wrapped Items output port.

Node Name

You can assign a custom name to the node to help identify its purpose within your template.


Wrapped Items Name

You can assign a custom name to the new wrapped item to help identify it in further shape trees.
