Wrap Each Node (Shapes > Grouping)

What it does

This node wraps each top-level item (shapes or shape tree) from the input node into its own new container, resulting in multiple shape trees—each with a new top-level group. The number of output shape trees matches the number of input items.

Use it for

  • Wrapping each top-level item (shape or shape tree) into its own new container.
  • Building the logical structure of your document.
  • Adding new levels (for example, to create nested tags).

How to use it

  1. Drag and drop the node from the Node Library into your template:
Node Library > Folder Shapes > Folder Grouping
  2. Connect the node with other nodes in the Data Flow of your template.
  3. Specify the settings in the Node Properties task pane.

Node Input

Connect a node from the Data Flow that contains shapes or shape trees to the Items input port.

Node Output

All top-level items from the input node will each be wrapped into its own new container, resulting in multiple wrapped items—each a shape tree with a new top-level group—available in the Wrapped Items output port.
