How to Create an Archivable Accessible PDF (PDF/A) With axesSlide

Using axesSlide, you can save a document as a PDF that conforms to the PDF/A standard.

To create a PDF/A document:

  1. On the axesSlide tab, click the button Export PDF.
  2. In the Export PDF dialog box, select the PDF/A check box.
  3. Click the button Create.

A document that conforms to PDF/A-2a is created.

If the document contains characters that cannot be mapped to Unicode, a document that conforms to PDF/A-2b is created. The document contains the complete logical structure tree.

The number «2» in PDF/A-2a or PDF/A-2b stands for PDF-Version 1.7.
