We distinguish between 2 tools to adjust the role mapping:
- The Show role mapping button which opens the context-sensitive axesWord - role mapping task pane:
These settings are on element respective object level - for example for figures or text boxes. Manual role mapping is only necessary if the natural semantics of the elements is not appropriate (e.g. when an illustration is purely decorative). These changes of the role mapping must be done by the author. - The Document settings button which opens the Document settings dialogue box:
These settings are on document level. Ideally, the creator of the document template will have already done this for you; you can find further information on this in the article Button "Document settings".
